well i was at the farm the other day doing some rat hunting. the hunting had been good and my friend was letting shoot in his new Shadow 1000 and i was having a very good day. well I saw about 50 crows and starling up in a tree and i left some rats out to see if i could kill some. well the starling didn't come down but the crows did. I waited tell about 20 were on it and i fired with the 1000 with a having Match Pellet to the head and he didn't go down. he flew around with the others then fell from the sky. the came back for some more and it was starting to rain now. I did move and wait tell i had a clean shot and fired again at a bigger one and i was unsure if i hit him or miss. Now i got me 766 and did some shoot at them and the same thing happen. One lands at 20 yards and i fire with the 1000 and he flew into a tree and called at me. Now i was piss with this cal. so i got out my H&R .22 ( i use a small cart to carry all my stuff)and got the job done. I never really liked the .177 because if you hit something it was hard to tell. When i fix my 2200 this will not happen.
I have used flats in .22 and killed beavers, ducks, coons, and nutria and i have also used crosman flats in .177 to kill coons at 20 yards. If you use a .177 you have to surgeon with it.
