I saw some of these traps at the PA trappers convention. They are similar in size to Conibears, but don"t have two jaws, one side of the spring closes to capture or dispatch the animal. At the library looking through an old Sears catalog, I was surprised to see these style traps existing long before Frank Conibear designed what we now call the bodygripper. Does anybody know their history? I don't remember them on the market when the Conibear came out. Has anybody ever used then?
