Scope mounts on Buffalo Classic

Is it necessary to use high mounts for mounting a scope on the Buffalo Classic?Thanks.

It depends on which scope you plan to use , the oc bell , power ring and hammer clearance will deturman what ring height will be needed . some scopes can get by with Med rings and some need Ex-high .

My BC with a Leupold 2.5x8 VX-III and Warne Rings with a NEF base needed high rings to clear the hammer.  MV out!
