 are these pistols any good mine is a 44 mag

I only know Sauer shotguns.  I have a post WWII boxlock and a pre-war hammer gun.  Both solid as a rock.  I have no personal knowledge of these pistols, but if they are anything like other German single actions I have used, they will be very well made.  If you plan on shooting black powder, the tolerances will likely be quite tight, resulting in the necessity of frequent cleaning to keep them running during a match.

In the late '60s and early '70s they ran Ruger a good race.  They were just a little less money but Ruger had adjustable sights if you were into hunting.  Good, well built revolvers, they always impressed me.  j.p. sauer became Sig-sauer, now just called Sig.  I think there is no question of the quality of that name.  44 Man
