444 Leverevolution Range Report

I acquired Dads 1st year 1965 444 with microgroove barrel. Swapped the K1 Weaver for a Mueller 2x7x33 Multi-shot scope. Finally found some 265 gr. Hornady Leverevolution amo and sighted it in. I was suprised that the microgroove dialed that bullet inside of 1" at 100 yards. Set it up at 3" high @ 100 and will use it on elk out to 300 yds. Shot my first deer with that rifle many, many moons ago.

Really glad to hear that, I also have an early .444 ( 24" barrel, m/c stock ) that my father passed along to me, that I also took my first deer with. I haven't had the chance to play with the new ammo, but I'm anxious to try. Hopefully mine will work as well as yours. Mark.
