Gonna try something new
« on: June 12, 2003, 09:20:37 PM »
I am going to try something new when we have our NRA Bullseye Pistol Match on November 29th at 9:00AM, in McComb,  MS.  I am going to shoot 3 Single Action revolvers in the match:

1.  Ruger Single Six .22 LR
2.  Hartford SAA in .32-20
3.  Navy Arms Schofield 7" in .45 Colt

I will have to practice a lot to get used to the revolvers at 25 yards.  Ought to be interesting to compare the scores with my more modern handguns and the Cowboy Guns.  I invite any Cowboy Action shooter to join me.  Each handgun is fired 90 times for record.  You need to bring at least 120 rounds for each gun.

I may borrow a 32-20 from you for the center-fire part, but I'm gonna shoot the even number SSA with the 190's for the .45 section. I guess I'll use my custom built Ruger for the .22 in semi-auto.

No sense wearing out your single-six when I have a perfectly good .22 auto.

By the way, glad to see you post over here once in a while. :D
