picked up a CVA .45 mag hunter this spring for $70.00 (used like new condition with breech plug tool and box of 209 primers and six .357 180 grain hornady sabots). thought i got a decent deal. anybody have any experience with this gun? any load recommendations? guy i bought it off of was loading 150 grains of loose 777 and said it was grouping well. have read that it's not tested for that kind of pressure. i didn't really need the gun as i already have a rem.700 ML .50, a TC renegade flintlock .54, and a Hopkins Allen .50 percussion that i built 4 years ago. guy needed money and i had room in the gun cabinet for ONE MORE!!! you know how that goes!!! appreciate any feedback youn's can give me. first time posting on the CVA site but have posted on the concealed carry and remington sites. thank you and hope to here from some of you.
