Guns Used In.............
« on: June 06, 2003, 09:22:41 AM »
Ok, lots of you are pretty sharp on spotting the make and models of firearms used in movies.  What were the firearms used in the movie "The Ghost And The Darkness"?  I believe the double used by Michael Douglas was either a Holland & Holland or a Wesley Richards in what looked to be a .450-400.  His O/U shotgun/handgun has me stumped.  The bolt action used by Val Kilmer looks like a Lee Enfield but the ammo he is loading in it at the beginning of the movie has pointed bullets and the .303 British ammo of the time period used a 215 gr. round nose, if my memory serves me right.  The single shot Kilmer trades the Dr. for looks for the world to be a Ferguson but the caliber ?????  Ok, what's your opinion?  What are the weapons being used in the movie?  Lawdog

Gee Lawdog, I didn't even know what the Rifleman used in his westerns but there were plenty of guys who did.  What I would like to know is what kind of recoil would guns like those you mentioned deliver? It might be less painful to get ate.  :D
