Fridge Magnet Trick Works--204 Range Report-- New INFO

Well I tried the fridge magnet trick and it worked. Groups are consistent at just over 1 MOA so I'll glass bed so that I put upward pressure on the barrel at both ends of the fore-stock. I should add that there had to be at least 0.5 inches of wind deflection in my last 5 shot group that was dispersed 1.25 inches horizontal and 3/8 inches of vertical. Correcting for wind it was a 3/4 inch five shot group----------not an fluke.
Once I have the bedding done I will test the effect of different support locations. I still find it difficult to hold the gun still with the front support just ahead of the trigger guard. This also contributes to horizontal dispersion. I will post the results. This gun may see some coyote hunting this winter after all. Thanks to Tim and Fred!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

If you glass bed a forend will it become dedicated to that one barrel?

It will be dedicated in my case as I only have one BB and it has the action bedded too.

You'd have to be real lucky to have two barrels that have the forend stud in the exact same position and identical barrel contours, if that happens, I'd head right down and buy a bunch of lottery tickets cuz you're one lucky son of a gun!!!

Yah, I would not even think of having one forearm for several barrels.
As a matter of fact I would not have more than one barrel on an action.
If you look what I did to my two Handi's you will see why. See my web page.
