Picked it up
« on: September 07, 2007, 04:59:33 PM »
Several months ago I posted about finding and laying away a NEF White Tail Medalion 45-70 from 1997. I picked it up yesterday and got a chance to really look it over. Very nice condition and could pass for new. It has a very pretty Walnut Stock with recoil pad. It has a Weaver Base on it now. I can't believe its even been shot. I will be trying it out soon. Anyone shoot the 300 Grain Nosler Partition Golds in their handi rifles. I would like to give them a try as an all around hunting bullet.
shot placement is everything.

I've only shot the 300gr NPs in handloads at 2425fps, they're one hole accurate at 100yrds, the factory ammo should be good stuff too at around 1800fps or so IIRC.

Can you show post a pic of the rifle, we'd love to see it. If you can't post it,  email it to me and I'll post it. ;)

I either don't know how to post pictures or don't have the needed equipment. I can take it down to my sons place when I go again and I know he can do it. I wish I could. Sounds good on those Partitions.
