Sendero verses XCR Tactical?
« on: October 08, 2007, 03:29:36 AM »
I would be interested in your opinions and recommendations on this guys.

I will shortly be putting in variation request to my police force for another rifle. I have short listed two Remington 700 models (in .300 win mag) namely the Sendero SFII and the new XCR Tactical (the one with the green Bell & Carson stock).

The rifle will be purely for range (paper target) use. I’m in the UK so I will give you both prices in £ & $. I can get the Sendero for £887 ($1,809) while the XCR Tactical is going to be £970 ($1,978) so is the tactical worth the extra $169 over the price of the Sendero? If so why is it worth the extra? I do like the look of both rifles.

I have shot an older Sendero in .300 win mag a couple of years back and enjoyed it.
Does anyone have any photos of these rifles to share? The ones on the official Remington website don’t show much detail.

It is a shame that there is no search function on this (Greybeard) site as I would have liked to look at past posts on these rifles.

Thanks in advance for your help.

There is. Use the Google Search function and check the box for GBO. It's on EVERY page on the site and works fine.
