My first Simmons was a Ruby Red lens.
Never did get to where I liked that blue/green background shading.
Then one day I was using it for a 200yd match in a heavy gray, rain.
The bull was plain as could be naked eye, but, couldn't even see it thru the glass.
It went back with a letter of explanation. They replaced it with a new scope I feel is better quality with a clear glass.
About the same time I bought a 20x binoc's from sportsmans guide where he claims you can see the hair on a knats arse'" Just too powerful even for out here on the shortgrass plains. BUT; I could sure see things in the distance I never have with anything else.
One day while antelope hunting I noticed grass blades within the lense. That went back for repairs and I asked "If you feel a replacement is needed rather than a repair, please send a 15x instead and bill me for the difference". Got the much better quality 15x and ticket said N/C. You bet, I'm a Simmons user since. They may not satisfy you guys with money to burn that want to impress everyone with the much higher priced scopes. But, I'm sure happy with them and I've had several Redfields, Leupolds, and Nikon's. Still have some, but, from now on it'll be Simmons. I've had the fancy one's fail too. Until Redfield and Weaver closed up they were guaranteed too. Whatever turns you on as they say.
