Timely topic... I just test fired an older model 22 rim fire Mossberg that I treated with the David Tubb's Final Finish system and my group size was cut in half and the better rim fires are shooting better; i.e. Eley and CCI. Before I used the Tubb's system my group sizes were all the same...pitiful. I got a truer reading on which rim fires work best with my Mossberg...the Eley for Remington, CCI Match and Winchester Expert. I'll stick with the cheaper Winchester.
A friend used the Tubb's Finishing system, preloaded, on his 30-06 and 300 win mag. Today we tested fired his barrels after using the Tubb's system and he noticed an improvement...again a reduction of group size.
I spent the day with Tubb's bullets that I reloaded for my 7.5x55 Swiss Encore Barrel, 50 cartridges...I hope to see similar improvement.
I highly recommend JB paste and alot of elbow grease. I just believe the Tubb's system will complete the job that JB started in my other Encore barrels.
The JB paste route or the Tubb's syste will provide a barrel that not only shoots smaller groups but barrels that are easier to clean.
Just my "humble" opinion.
