The Rollingblock design by Knight is a real winner. It not only uses the 209 primer without a disc but it also removes the primer when opened making the job of getting a stuck one out non existent. According to latest reports from owners the rifle is also a tack-driver although Knights have never been faulted for poor accuracy.

Has anyone tried the replacement breech plugs so you dont need the discs?  I have a disc elite & the plastic jackets are the only thing I dont like. Mike

I've thought about getting one of the new plugs but I like the plastic jackets for hunting. I've hunted in pouring rain and my gun still fired. With my old CVA and a plain 209 primer it didn't even though the primer went off. When I cleaned the gun the powder looked like black mud.

I'll buy one of the new plugs if Knight discontinues the plastic jackets but not before.

All ya needed was a sealed primer.  Oldest trick in the world for percussion guns.  Whole thing is water proof, works for side locks, underhammers and in lines.  a threaded cap goes over the primed nipple.  The cap has a thin cover that flexes and the hammer can still set off the perc cap.  It'll even work underwater.
