first wildcat idea

ok i have wanted a 22 cheetah for years     i want to get a bull barrel fitted to my handi so in theory all i need to  get is  a 308 extractor and rent a reamer from 4D  with the gauges  and dies etc but do i want the 1-12 twist .223 or do i get a 22-250 bull barrel with a 1-14 twist  ? want to shoot 45-55 grain bullets     ideas?    problems?   etc??   oh and my 500 s&w is a boomer!  wooo-hoo!!!!!!

If you order a 223 bull barrel, you'll get a 1:9" twist, not 1:12".

This is just my opion but if he were to buy a 223 bull with the 1-9 twist he should be able to shoot the heaver and lighter bullets as well. Dale

I would want the slower twist (1in14),
but according to the H&R website the 22-250 is not bull unless you get stainless.

The 24" fluted 22-250 barrel is a bull barrel.

1-9 will work fine and look hard into the 22-243 its really alot better the the other two

well the mk 1  with the 40 degree was my 1st choice    but   the 22-243 i am curious about anyone have one?     i dunno   always wanted a 6mm mach6 too        8mm mag case necked down to 6mm with a 40 degree shoulder    its like a modern 244H&H but cheaper    i see no way to do it in a handi thou but the idea of 75gr barnes x's at 3950-4200 fps 100gr x's at 3700fps  the mach 6 is a barrel burner to be sure          so i picked  out the cheetah  it seems  fairly inexpensive

Heck...Just rechamber it to a Swift...and be done with it...
