6.8 SPC POI

I have been handloading 115 Rem boat tail fmj's over a starting charge of h335 with good accuracy results. Hunting season is just around the corner so it s time to try some Corelokt Ulta in 115 grain. After some careful set up and bullet seating depth analysis, I stamped out a number of the new hunting rounds. So off the the range I went. Much to my surprise these new hunting rounds had the exact point of impact as the fmj's with approximately the same group size. Just some FYI for the 6.8 guys.

 I'm shooting the 130grn Hornady SST using H-335, So far I'm having a boooger of a time getting with inconstant accuracy. Perhaps I should try some of those rem 115 grainers.

I use sierra 110gr prohunters and H322  in my contender and AR15  Haven't shot anything bigger then a coyote yet but they should do fine on deer.

have you checked the seating depth on your bullet?  how about if the bullet is held firmly by the case?

 At first I had almost NO neck tension, after turning down my decap assy I now have .002 worth of neck tension. According to the chronograph consistency was quite improved, the target had a different opinion though :'(  So this last batch I loaded I simply removed the decap expander assy for a total of .003 worth of neck tension. I haven't shot these yet. As for seating depth see the below thread.

Your Encore in 6.8 must be very mild to shoot in both recoil and report.
