Delaware Goes Smokeless

I was at the meeting when they announced it. But make sure you read the fine print, it has to be a manufacture approved muzzleloading propellant. So in an Encore you can't use smokeless or any other M/L that the Manufacture does not specifically recommend it. Now the Savage is OK to use smokeless or any other BP sub.  They made sure we all understood that.  We also got the same information in the Master Hunters meeting.

So if you have a smokeless barrel made for your T/C you cannot use it?   Even though the manufacturer of the barrel approves it?  Kinda confusing ain't it?

My guess is, contact the Delaware DNR and see what they say.  But I have not seen a smokeless T/C either.

I have. Aftermarket barrel from Smokless Muzzleloading Inc. They also make them for NEF H+R actions.

The new regulation reads (Manufacture Approved Propellant). So if you put a (custom smoke less powder Muzzle loader barrel) on another rifle it would be legal to use in Delaware's Muzzleloader or Shotgun deer season.
 
Wolfhound what caliber SMI barrel do you have and how do you like it.  I am thinking about getting a .45 caliber ML barrel for my Encore to try some sabot less shooting.

I don't have one. I've seen one on an Encore though. Redhawk said he never saw a Smokeless Encore, I replied that I have. I don't have anything smokeless yet despite wanting one. :(

I don't see a thing wrong with the smokeless M/L's. I just have not yet got interested in one. But you never know when I will start.  ;D
