Got a 45/70 BC

Got the rifle today , now i have to find something in Ohio to hunt with it ,  ;D any ideas ? Tree rats are too small and deer is a no-go , maybe a long range yote gun or maybe crows in an open field .

.45-70 in ohio.........hmmm.
maybe deer in PA if youre so inclined. Or just have fun with it here.
I like to shot coyotes, not so sure if Id use a 45-70.
But if it does it for you, give it a whirl.
BTW, what rifle did you get..?

Its an H&R Buffalo Classic single shot with a 32" barrel and Williams peep sites , i have quite a few of the H&R's , i like the simple way they are made and they shoot real well for the money . I have had one of the 22" barreled 45/70s for a couple years now and just love it .

By the way , i should have done this sooner --- WELCOME to GBO , stop by often there are a bunch of Ohio guys here .  ;D

hey man you can shoot anything you want, just dont get caught  hahahah  hey it was good to seeya , wish  we could have stayed longer , sharon said she'd hateto see you an i in a sit down with a good bottle of truth serum , and start shootin the bull , she said  it could go on for a while , hahahahh shes startin to know me to well hahahaha  ::) :o

Maybe next time one of us should check the long range forcast , doing a gun deal in a monsoon rain storm is no fun . We need to get together later this summer to pop some caps and just shoot the bull .

By the way my youngest son has already laid claim to the BC .  ;D

I use a 4570 in Ohio. BUTT!!  mines is in a Contender pistol, 12  1/2" barrel.

  I have another 4570 but its in a Contender rifle, It's one of the guns that I call on for West Va.

   you don't even have to shoot the gun to get peoples attention!!!

You got that right , just drop a round in the chamber , the thump as it seats is enough to get most peoples attention .
