Soda Can Dictator Mortar
« on: April 02, 2008, 08:48:18 AM »
Just arrived an hour ago. Built by Dominick. Looks great. I can't wait to loft a few cans down range. I'm waiting for some relatives to empty some cans for me.

I may not be completely sane, but at least I don't think I have the power to influence the weather.

Tropico, I'm planning on several trips there this summer starting in a few weekends as soon as a friend from Portland can get free and the weather is agreeable.

Sounds awesome Jeeper1 . For Alan and I the trip to see you and Santa Dave was a memorable 1 indeed. We were most impressed with the firepower but actually more impressed with your knowledge., I never met anyone that can make the things you make. In a word WOW.

DoubleD I got back a little while ago and was inundated with family and not able to go on a cannon hunt in Manila as planned. I did however just get back from Yuma AZ and I took photos of the Castle Dome mining camp machine shop from 1870s thru WWII . They mined alot of lead outa there. I know its a cannon thread so I did not post pics. However if you want me to start a short thread of pics for you machinists to see what the past used in the desert I'd be happy to post them.
