James does excellent work.  You can see quite a few pics on single shooters.  I have a set on my 7-30 Waters and they are worth every penny.  He has a 100 percent guarantee and stands by it.  Many colors and several styles.  Turn around time for me was about 2 months, but it was during the winter so he did not get to it as fast as in the warmer weather.  Send him a note and ask about turn around time.

Jim has done excellent work on all that I have (4). He is a man true too his word. I would highly recommend his work. I have never heard of a complaint from anyone. He has grips and fore ends for every ones needs. Lou

I just ordered my 7th set of Georgia Jim's last week.  You can't go wrong with them.  I get them unfinished so I can shape them to my liking, just a little off here a little off there.  Here's a couple of pictures of my grips waiting for finishing (Would rather shoot than finish)  These are his Herrett Grips and Target Style Forends.

Contender in 17Mach II...Color: Grey/Black

Encore in 22BR 18inch Bullberry Barrel...Color: Red/Black

Contender in 22LR ...Color: Blue/Black

Contender in 44Mag...Color: Apache Gold (I furnished the blank and had 3 sets made up)

All the 14inch and up are set-up for a hanger bar which I get from Straton

I ordered a couple of sets and requested he look into a little different design if he gets time (after hunting season).  If the ordered ones get here soon enough, I will have a set on my 14" Waters for deer season in October.  I get excited just looking at the pictures.... :P

Here's my latest set of Georgia Jim's that I got this afternoon...Ordered 3 weeks ago.  Pretty good turn around time I would say.  Anyway here's a picture of my 7th set of georgia jim's furniture.  The forend is a little snug but a sanding and apply the finish and they should be set

doc-and, Those look great, I especially like the last picture.

Can you tell me how much sanding is left to make it look really good and what do you use for a finish? Maybe even a little detail on your finish procedures.

Thanks!

Hardly any normally, but this barrel is oversize and there was just a little touching of the barrel/wood that had to be touched up.  As they come from Jim very little is needed to apply the finish.  Hit them with 320 and tack cloth them then spray with Poly finish
