Hammer problems
« on: September 24, 2007, 01:45:53 PM »
I tried to find some info on my own, but nothing I needed came up in a search...anyway

I need to put the entire hammer assembly back together but I'm having a brain freeze.  Anyone have a step by step, preferably with pics?

Also, I'm planning on doing the trigger job myself in the future, so disassembly and assembly of the trigger mechanism would also be helpful.  Thanks for all the help in advance.

Dave

There is a ton of great information at the top of the page under FAQ. they even have the information on trigger jobs.  Dale

Let me cut to the chase without embarrassing myself...does anyone know how to remove the barrel assembly from the receiver if the hammer assembly and release lever have already been removed?

Knock the two bottom pins out, the small one and big one, removed the trigger guard, then the latch spring will come out and release pressure on the latch and the barrel. Might as well do a trigger job on it while you have it apart, info in the FAQs as Dale mentioned in his reply to your first post. ;)
