HELP, Help...!! Microsoft Word

Just when I need to use Word for a lengthy document it screws up.  The problem is after opening a new document and working on it for several minutes it shuts down with an error box. The error box says:
Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
program: C\ProgramsFiles.........
abnormal program termination

there is no way to close this error box without shutting Word and returning directly to the desktop and loosing the my work.
Geez, just when I need it for a very lengthy report... >:( ???

Try Add/Remove programs in the control panel, see if MS Word has a "change" option which allows a repair, you'll probably need the Word CD.
