280 remington handi

i ran accross a used 280 handi with scope for sale for $180 looks like good condition has had stock cut down a bit. does this seem like fair price might look into it if sounds fair and make counter offer. let me know what you all think biggest thing right now will be availability of ammo for me at least. till i can start reloading. any help would be appreciated thanks in advance.

What kind of scope and what year was it manufactured

The 280 is a great round for just about aything you might want to hunt, sounds like a fair price,offer 150.00 out the door and see how it goes. With the barrel closed see if you get ant side to side movement or any at all, theres a ton of info in the FAQ.

didn't hold it so not sure about the scope or yr and was thinking of offering $150

$150 gives you some room to haggle. 280 is a great round it's on my I need a handi inn this chambering list

Plenty of ammo available for it...on line or at your favorite gun shops..It's a popular round..

Most anything 7mm is a good round some call a 280 a 7mm-06
