Magtech Ammo
« on: July 25, 2010, 07:42:29 AM »
Has anyone had any trouble with Magtech Ammo?  A friend of mine and I have had repeated problems with misfires, brass hangups, and seemingly differences in the power of cartridges within he same box.  My experience has been with their .45ACP ammo, where he has had trouble with 9mm, .40, and .45 ACP.
Just wonderin' if I should stay away from this brand in the future.
Thanks for the stump

I have used approx. 100 rounds of their 9mm hollow points and 200 - 300 rounds of their FMJ ammo and have not had or noticed any of the problems you have mentioned.

I have only fired about 20 rounds of 9mm - no problems.

However, I have fired several hundred rounds of 38 S&W (not special) with quite a few rounds either being close to squibs or pierceing primers. Now that I have the brass I will reload & give up on their ammo.

I have shot several hundred rounds of their .44 mag 240 gr soft points with no problems whatsoever. last year during the ammo shortage, they were the only .44 mags I could find locally.
