I have heard of one hunting fatality this year and the shooter has been charged.  Seems he was supposed to be on a drive and shot his older hunting partner.  I think there was something with his (shooter's) background, but not sure, that brought this one to light. It is a shame, really.  I think the older hunter was also on the move and that makes for a bad combination of events.  Mikey.

I know there was someone shot and killed down in the Southern Tier while deer hunting with a gun Friday.  The gun season didn't open until the following day.  I was down at hunting camp and we heard it on the news Friday night.  My father saw it on the new Saturday or Sunday and said they charged the shooter with some type of manslaughter.  He said the DEC was going to charge him with hunting out of season. >:(

This was supposed to be in Montgomery County. Possibly a grandfather/grandson scenario that took place Saturday.
