ok i go to shoot my new elite next week but o start i have got the jim shockey 50 gr sticks but hear nothing but bad everyone is crushing them up do i have to do the same, also my bullets will be the 270gr sabbot platnum but not to sure if there too light  all info is needed here as i hunt in 1 week.

I don't know about Shockey's sticks..I haven't used them...I do know I wouldn't be crushing them up though...If you want to do that...just get the loose powder..

Save yourself time and use Pyrodex RS loose powder. I have had great results with 100 grains of loose powder and the 270 grain Platinum Power-belts. We shot three mule deer with this combination with great results, not one deer ran more than 50 feet after being hit.
