is it safe to use 454 dies for 460 s&w

does anybody know if using 454 casull dies for a 460 is a good practice or do I need to get a set of 460 dies.

I use 357 magnum dies to load my 357 maximums, so I don't see why you shouldn't be able to use your 454's for the 460.

jmy 454 dies can load 45 colts... hope that helps.

It should work just fine.  All that really needs to be resized is the mouth of the case anyway in a straight wall case.

My Hornady dies ran out of threads on the expander and when seating bullets.

I load for both the 460 and 454.........I had to buy both dies, both RCBS, sounds stupid but I don't remember why I had to buy both...bbbbbuuuuutttttt I did !   ;D

Same here ~ have darn good forgetter but I do recall that it wasn't worth the hassle and as lee dies are affordable.

I like my dies to stay just about the same for a while... would not want to change them .. just want to whip out some ammo and then go empty the brass and do it all again..
