Lever Gunsmith Needed

Hey guys, I have an 1895 cowboy that I am trying to get finished up.  I am trying to find a gunsmith locally that can do the work I need, like cutting down the magazine tube, and installing a barrel mounted sling stud.  I tried Russ Haydon http://www.shooters-supply.com/ he's a good smith but does bolt guns mostly.  He said that there is not enough material to mount to on the barrel and he wouldnt want to cut a dovetail, (even though there are already 5 cut in already for mounting of certain components). 
What do you all think?

Don't know where locally is for you but SSK Industries works on lever guns as well as all other types. They've done several caliber conversions for GBO members.

Hi, I live in Belfair, and i have used Ed Lapour in Bremerton for a variety of jobs; he is very good, very busy, and not inexpensive, but then again, quality doesn't come cheap.
Another I have used is located between Shelton and Belfair. He used to work for Ed Lapour, now works out of his house. His full-time job is machinest at aerospace outfit. He is quicker in turn-around, less expensive, and perhaps better suited for off-beat ( free-thinking? ) type of jobs. He's done some work for me, and I'm very pleased with his work. His name slips my find right now, but if you are interested, pm me and I'll get back to you with his name and number.I'm sure I will remember it a few minutes after I post this ( I think it is Randy Brandt??).
