Do you have any shop machinery like a lathe, a mill, a welder?

You could always build a small mortar to shoot lead balls for a muzzle loading rifle, or marbles or firecrackers or?
A drill press is helpful but not necessary.
Maybe scale this down.
I may not be completely sane, but at least I don't think I have the power to influence the weather.

Nope, not at all. I selected that one because you don't need any fancy tools to make it.

Am I out of luck?  I am not sure of what the drawing is you sent to me ...

The drawing shows a basic Confederate Coehorn style mortar bored for golf balls.  If you mean you do not understand the engineering drawing, then you need to begin at the beginning and learn to at least read such drawings.

Without lathe, mill and welder, you are limited to buying your barrels and using your woodworking skills to make the mounts and/or carriages.  Try the Brooks web site.  The 50 caliber, DICTATOR MORTAR Barrel looks like a good starter.

George,

Thanks for the plug! That is a nice barrel and well liked. It is in stock, ready to go and will start the addiction process.
