Kevin: I do not know the kinetic energy of my set up. I do, however, know if your bow is pulling anything around 50#, with the arrow weight and broadhead selection you have, you will not have a problem with whitetail as long as the Snuffer is placed in the 'boiler room'. I have recently switched from 165 grain Snuffers for deer to 125 grain Wendsel Woodsmen heads. I have switched from 2117 aluminum or custom cedar arrows to carbon arrows. I use a 60# CariBow t/d recurve most of the time, ant I will use that bow this fall. My arrows probably weigh out to about 475 grains total with inserts, wraps, fletch, nock, and broadhead. Last year I had a shot at a large, lone doe at about 4 yards. The arrow went through the lungs, and she took three or four steps forward stood there and fell over. Off the same stand about three weeks later, I took a 5 point buck (my mistake--I thought he was an 8 with his head behind some vines and junk--oh well...), and he, too kind of jumped forward once, stopped and looked back where he had been standing, then took two more smallish jumps, stood and fell over. My total tracking distance last year was about 15 yards! I guess what I am saying: just make sure the Snugger is right in the lungs, and they won't go far. Make sure the deer are relaxed when you shoot, after the shot, stay very quiet, and let the Snuffer do its job.
Best of luck, Arch
