Daughter's first lope
« on: October 12, 2007, 03:42:23 PM »
Just got back from Wyo. & Daughter used an Encore in 6.5 x 55 to take her first antelope.  We were shooting 120 gr Hornadys in front of Varget at 2650 fps.  Her buck was about 150 yards and mine was 385 yds.  Hunting partner, daughter and I took a buck and doe each.   It kept us busy skinning and quartering the six goats. Due to time constraints we didn't have time to trophy hunt but we were all happy to fill our tags in a little over a day.   The 20 hr. drive one way was the killer for a weekend hunt.  Once I catch up on my sleep, I'll be ready to do it again.

Congrats to you and your girl.  Love to see kids taking to the tradition.  The 6.5 x 55 is probably going to be the next encore barrel in the corral.  Glad to see it does the job.

You formatted it incorrectly for the images to show. I fixed it for you. The img in brackets goes in front of URL and the /img in brackets follows it. You had both in front of the URL and on the first one tossed in an extra http// as well.

The easiest way to do it is to separate your urls with a space as between paragraphs. Then highlight them one at a time and click on the IMG icon and it will add the proper code. You must do each URL seaparately like that. Be sure to hit ENTER and add that line between URLs first.
