Rainproof gas tank saddle bags?
« on: October 08, 2007, 07:44:14 PM »
Anyone know where I can buy a set?  I have some El-Cheapos that literally soak up rain, getting everything wet.  Thanks for any information you can offer.

Out of all the bags Ive seen on the market I haven't seen any that are truly waterproof. What I tell all of my customers is if they want to keep it dry put it in a zip lock bag. The heavy duty freezer bags work best. You can also try putting scotch-guard on them also to try to keep the bags from getting to soaked.

I got a set for Christmas last year that are fully coated with camo vinyl. They supposed to be fully waterproof ....but in a soaking rain they might leak a little around the zippers. They are about as close to 100% waterproof as you can get though. I think they came from Cabelas.
