Will a A-Bolt long action medallion wood stock fit on a A-bolt long action with a sythetic stock or is there that much diffrance in the 2 rifles thanks for the info

No difference, if it is a long action,it will fit any other long action. the only thing you need to worry about is if it a long action magnum, the barrel contour of the magnum will be bigger then just a long action (ie. 300 win mag to a 30-06).Hope this helps.
