loads for 358 winchester in 15 inch encore

I was wondering 1. what bullet to use for deer sized game in the encore ..
2. what speeds would you xpect I would get from that barrel with the suggested bullets and
3.  should I expect expansion at the speeds attainable in it ?
4. what kind of trajectory should I get at 150, 200 yards..
I have read that I need to break some certain speed to get expansion and the bullets start at about 180 gr...
please advise.

  Don't know about the velocity,but 180 RN's bulk bullets do the job in MY 358JDJ. I have taken a white tail at 200 with it once. Most of the shots with it were in the 100 to 175 yard range. The deer usually take a step or 2 to the side and collapse! I would imagine that 2200 fps would be easy to get. I found the hornady 200 grain pointed bullets to be a bit HARDER than the RN's . Expansion was considerably less with them.
  I used some pistol bullets for ground hogs and got spectacular blow ups even on the soft critters. I wouldn't want to try them on a deer

I appreciate the response.  So I assume the pointed bullets were not so ballistically superior that you lost much in using them, if you made shots to 175 and 200...
and bulk does sound good..
must admit I thought I would get some replies touting the pointy bullets ....
Just goes to show that is why I am asking... I do not know and gues wrong most of the time..
