Stabilizer bar for Mini 14 / 30 = accuracy
« on: October 15, 2007, 02:12:12 PM »
On another site, I have been following the development of two similar products that claim to cut mini groups in half. Many on that site have purchased these items and swear by them. They are a stabilizer bar/strut that clamps to the barrel and the gas block, providing a rigid platform for the thin mini barrel. I believe that these in addition to a trigger job and bedded stock will provide mini owners with a MOA shooter that Ruger should have produced in the first place.

Their sites-
www.accu-strut.com -$75, comes with Loc-tite, available in blued

www.rogco.biz (Har-Bar) -$100, thicker clamps, available in SS or blued

BTW- the site I found these on is the biggest mini forum I have found with excellent tips, advice and knowledge for the mini shooter. I'll post it if it doesn't violate the rules here. Does it?

Errrr let me get this straight  ??? you pay hundreds for a rifle then spend hundreds more getting it to shoot properly? ::) Sounds like a daft idea to me. Why not buy a rifle that is capable of shooting accuratly and  reliably in the first place.

Cade...thanks for posting.  Both products appear similiar.  For the money this looks like a very worthwhile modification, along with the other recommended modifications listed at accu-strut might just make a "shooter" out of the "mini".  I really like mine but always felt the accuracy was poor.
