Just wondering if someone can give me the How-to of epoxy bedding for  a rem. 700 sps varmint and some links to a site where i can buy a laminate stock for it.
info on, the how to of epoxy bedding, maybe some pictures, brand of epoxy.... and just info.

About 15 Years ago, I got some info about Epoxy Bedding from Brown Precision (The Fiberglass & Kevlar Stock Makers). It was a very good step by step direction. Don't know if it is still available. Pull Up Mark Brown's web site and see if it is still there. After bedding about a dozen Bolt Actions, I'm not so much afraid of it, anymore.

Brownell's AcraGlas is by far the best bedding compound to use.

The gel is easier to use/control than the liquid, and good directions come with the kit.

The only thing I would add to them is to use a paste car wax as a release agent, since it's cheaper & more readily available - and it can be used to fill holes where no bedding compound is wanted, and on screw threads (inside & out).
In other words - put a coat of unbuffed paste wax everywhere you don't want bedding compound - on both the stock and metal parts.
You'd be surprised (not pleasantly) at where the stuff can migrate to, while your attention is on the bedding job.

I been using grey marine tex for some time now.  Tried the AcraGlas and didn't like it as well.  I use Pam as the release agent, to lazy to use wax...

Doesn't the SPS have an injection molded stock? If it does you don't want to waste your time bedding it. Trying to do that is like trying to glue something to an ice cube. You can cut it back and make a mechanical lock with the epoxy, but it will never really stick to the plastic.
