Handi in 35 Whelen
« on: October 29, 2007, 08:07:20 PM »
Well I found a shop up here in Canada that had a 35 Whelen handi in stock and purchased it right away.

Now I have to find the right cast bullet to use in it. I plan to use it to hunt moose and maybe black bear. Anyone have a idea as to what the correct diameter of the bullet would be? .359 or .360 I plan on having a custom mold made up by moutain molds. The bullet would be GC'ed and around 250grains.

Thanks
Bill

Slug the bore with a #9 soft egg sinker and use a bullet that's .001-.002" larger than the groove diameter determined by the slugging.
