contender frame disassembly/cleaning
«

I did a search on disassembling an original contender frame for a thorough cleaning but I couldn't find anything. I bought a used stainless contender (early 95 production) and it is a little dirty. I am interested in disassembling the frame so that I can clean it properly. Is it safe/easy to perform? Is there a good/favorite scrubing agent that you use, especially with stainless frames?

Usually, there is no need to disassemble; just remove the barrel and grip or butt stock and shoot it full of carb cleaner.

Well spraying with brake cleaner is a heck of a lot easier then disassembling the frame. Thanks for the tips.
