I'm a big fan of the Remington Core-lokt bullets-especially at .30-30 velocities. I think the folks in green got these bullets right. And I've had good experiences with both weights. All I'll tell you with respect to the 150 is that my Handi prints about the same as Tim's target AND I have yet to recover one from a deer.
My most recent experience is typical: Several weeks ago, I sat with a first time (youth) hunter who was using my .30-30 Handi (youth stocked). Chris shot a spikehorn at about 50 yards. Looking through the smallish hole in our tent blind, I misjudged the angle Chris had on his deer. The buck was apparently quartering toward the young hunter more acutely than I thought. The 150 gr. Core-lokt entered just in front of the left shoulder, passed on an angle through both lungs and liver before exiting out through the hardwoods. The deer traveled about 50 yards.
