Taurus Small Frame Holster question

Will holsters for the 2" bbl Model 85 also fit the 2" Model 605, 650, & 651 series? I would like to have a small revolver and cannot decide between a Model 85, 850 851 or the Model 605, 650 & 651. Searching for an IWB holster, most just list holsters for the Taurus 85. Also, what are your thoughts on the pros and cons of the conventional hammer, hammerless and  shrouded hammer versions?

I bought a Taurus 85 this week and love it , I carry in my front pocket in a Uncle Mike's pocket holster . This is a great gun and accurate too for the money. Galco makes a IWB holster for this gun and its only about $28.00.

I have a 605. I know the holsters for the 85 and 605 are the same don't know about the other models you have listed.

Those should all fit about the same holster.  I have a uncle mikes IWB holster, and it fits my 605 great.  You have to watch for it moving around with nothing to hold it in place, its a simple holster. 

I like the look of hammered revolvers, but there is nothing wrong with the hammerless.  I would say that sometimes I feel like my hammer can get caught while I'm tucking in or taking out the revolvers, but not too bad.  It is a rather laid-back design.  One reason I got a hammered revolver is that I always cycle the action one time just to make sure everything is locked and ready before I holster any revolver.  Can't do that with a hammerless.

I got the 605 and wear a Don Hume SOB Holster.

I also like the hammered revolvers, not just the asthetics, but also option to go SA.

None of my holsters have thumb breaks, shrouds or anything.  I don't plan on chasing felons, jumping over fences, or trying to apprehend a bar room drunk.  Since I don't expect any rigorous physical activity that would warrant the extra retention features, I have omitted them from my holster choices.  I don't want any additional obstructions when I have to pull my piece.

Simple fix if you do plan on doing some rigorous activity, and you have a holster made out of something besides leather.  Take the little clasp off of an ace bandage, and stretch it upside down over the back of your revolver and hook it to the inside of the holster on either side.  It won't hold real hard... but just a little extra, and will pop out really easy when drawing.
