Beretta Bobcat/tomcat wallet holster
« on: October 29, 2007, 03:06:58 PM »
I remember seeing a wallet holster for the Beretta mouse gun quite a few years back.  It looked just like a wallet with a hole in it.  You could fire it without taking it out of the holster.  Anyone know who makes this?  I've searched on the internet for it, but can't seem to find it.

Thanks,

Whoever made those also made them for the High Standard 22 mag derringer.  They were a quality leather holster.  I recall the problem with the one for the derringer was that you couldn't always get your finger to the trigger easily.
I'm sure you can get one of that design made but I wouldn't know from who, or whom, er whoever..

If you are not looking for a stiff leather pocket holster but rather one somewhat more flexible, Unkle Mike's of Oregon makes a ten or twelve dollar ballistic nylon holster for those small Berettas, one of which I prefer for my 21A and another for my 38 snubbie.  HTH.  Mikey.

It's my understanding those are illegal. If you can fire it from inside the holster its a no-no. I had one years ago for an AMT 380 backup. It was a neat holster. Some one correct me if I'm wrong.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was illegal, but it would be a law that makes no sense.  Not that there aren't thousands of laws that make no sense on the books...

The wallet holster is classified as a prohibited device. It is pure evil!! When mated with a handgun it takes on a mind of it's own.  We are indeed fortunate to have the BATF to protect us from them.

This is the "evil" contraband holster I was thinking of.  Too bad that it is no longer legal.

They classified it as an "any other weapon" because it didnt look like a pistol.  There are alternatives (I think), if you only cover half of the the gun and used the covered half to mask the outside of your pocket with a flat profile.  I think NAA makes a laser that squares off the profile of their Guardians as well.

EDELWEISS,
You are indeed correct on the classification of the wallet holster! I believe it specifies that if the gun is capable of being fired while in the wallet it is "Any other Weapon", and is therefore prohibited.
