open trigger on field holster

Do you feel safe with holster that does not cover the trigger?   I have seen many designs that are this way in the older styles.  I think El Paso Saddlery is one I have in mind.  I like their pancake and CCW holsters but some of the field holsters leave the trigger uncovered.

No holster should ever leave the trigger uncovered. With maybe one exception. That is one that has a retention strap over the hammer to prevent it from cocking. Even at that I wouldn't trust it personally. I would never consider one in the field especially. Twig or branch catches it while going through brush and some one may be carrying you out.   KN
