Ruger M-77 quick (desperate) question
«

I am cleaning a .243 right now, in order to remove the bolt I took out a screw in a small 1-2 inch bracket on the left side of the receiver.
Now that it is off I see there is a spring pushed button in there, how do I get this back on??

You don't need to remove that screw, just pull that release out and pull out the bolt....

OK, I got it..
That is something I would like to say I would only do once, but I got two M-77's today, a .243 and a .220 Swift, did the same thing to both guns..
So, it's something I wont do 3 times.

Try a set of Vise grips with the jaws taped to prevent scratching the metal and hold the bracket in place while you put back the screw.
