I have loaded a lot of 130 grain C-L in my Savage 110CL using 60 grains of H4831.  This load gives approximately 3000 fps at 15 feet from the muzzle on my Chrony.  Depending on the rifle it maybe near maximum.  It is an accurate load in my 270s.  My  22-inch Savage barrel is about 30+ feet faster then my Remington barrel with the same load and conditions.

I experimented with IMR4350 and it produced good loads.  But surplus H4831 was being sold extremely cheap at the time.  Results and low cost dictated that I use H4831.

From the IMR load data page:

130 GR. BAR TSX    130    H4831    .277"    3.230"    54.0    2747    45,500 PSI    60.0C    3025    59,000 PSI
130 GR. BAR TSX    130    H4350    .277"    3.230"    51.0    2905    52,500 PSI    55.5    3111    63,500 PSI

While the displayed bullet is not a C-L it gives you a feel for where the loads fall.

For many years I loaded H4350 at 53.5 grains under a 130grain Hornady for my brother's Ruger 77. The book showed 55.0 as max, but his gun showed pressure sign on anything over 54 grains. The accuracy was first rate with many 1 inch groups. If I were starting over I would try H4831going as close to 60 grains as the gun would handle.

i use 58.5 grains of h4831 under a 130 gr. sierra bullet.  five shot groups at 100yds. can be covered with a quarter. any deer size game i have shot with it is dead right now.
