I know that this subject has been discussed at length on previous messages, but I wanted to pass something on that I learned with some assistance from the guys on the reloading thread.
I have never used any factory ammo in my gun, however I have Remington brass that I loaded with 56 grains of IMR 4064 and some primers from Winchester and some from CCI. All of the loads done with the Winchester primers went bang. About 1/3 of the loads with the CCI primers went click. I pulled the bullets pressed out the CCI primers and reloaded everything with Winchester primers. Went to the range today and had no misfiers. I will be sticking to Winchester primers when I reload the Handi 35 Whelen. For those of you who reload that may be an alternative to sending back your gun and setteling for a caliber you really don't want.
