short inline
« on: December 30, 2007, 10:03:22 AM »
Hello,

I'd like to pick up a shorter inline. I've owned many and am loyal to TC's and Knights. Currently I'm thinking of either a TC Contender Carbine, or the Omega X7. Can't find anyone who owns one. I've seen X7's in stores but good luck finding a Contender ML. Any luck with either, and how is their accuracy? Oh yeah! I'm also not planning on running more than 100 gr. powder. Thanks and God Bless.

If you can, try to find a used or NOS Thunderhawk carbine, awsome inline!! I had one, but I like longer barrels. Just be carefull, they made them in youth also as well as adult pull stocks. The Firehawk may have been made in a carbine version as well, but not sure? Either one are a great value.

I love my X7, I like the peep sights and short length as a brush gun.  It's plenty accurate with a variety of bullets.

I second the praise of the T/C ThunderHawk

My stainless ThunderHawk inline 50 cal has a 24in barrel and composite stock with an old Weaver K3 scope. This combo has gotten deer every year it has been called on to serve. The 100yd accuracy of the inline is fine at 1.5 to 2 in groups with 44cal or 45cal sabots. This is a wonderful handling and functioning ml.

best,            nrb

If have some extra cash T/c could make a custom one for your encore frame. Omega X7 is your next best choice

The knight wolverine 209 is a nice choice with a 22" barrel.  I have seen them for well under $200 new.
