Stainless barrel heat

Has anyone noticed their stainless barrels heating up faster than a normal steel barrel ? Shootin a Ruger VT in 243 and seems as if the barrel starts getting hot after only 4 or 5 shots. Is this just normal for a 243 using factory loads? Getting about the same amount of heat as a 223 with the sporter barrel for the same amount of shots fired.

I have not noticed any difference and while stainless doesn't transfer heat as readily as carbon steel the difference is insignificant.  The 243 does burn 50% plus more powder than does the 223, so would tend to heat faster. This is why the 223 has such a following in the p-dog field..

  OK, nuff said. Thanks for the replies, I'm not that familiar with the 243 and wanted to make sure I didn't have a problem. As usual trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
