I am assuming that you are referring to a Ruger MKII Pistol.  I have scoped one in the past.  After looking at all of the options I decided that the best way was to go to my gunsmith and have him drill and tap it for a Weaver style rail.  It ended up costing about $30 for the holes and the rail, which was cheaper than any of the other types of mounts that I could buy local or order and pay freight on.  It is also probably a more sturdy mounting system than most of the other types.

scope mounting mark II....

I tried deciding between two Ruger Mark II models:
1) Stainless 5.5" bull barrel target model w/ open sights.
2) Stainless 6 7/8" slab side bull barrel competition target model w/ open sights and Ruger one piece base and rings.

I ended up buying the 5.5" model and having a gunsmith drill and tap it for the Ruger factory base & rings.  Now I have the best of both, shorter easier to carry 5.5" barrel & slick looking Ruger base & rings w/a Millet SP-1 red dot scope!  It is a small game & small pest getting machine!! :grin:   That is what I'd recommend!
