Which Bowstring?
« on: October 04, 2007, 03:16:42 PM »
Need to restring my Pearson Anaconda and have narrowed it down to the three listed. Would like a little feedback on who is using what and why. Added Other to the poll in case there is some better that I've missed.

I have a Mathews Ultra2 and my local archery pro has hand made my bow restrings for many years. He has never let me down yet.

I prefer a custom string myself, Yumi made my last one for my longbow. And on my compound made it from fast flight and B50 servings. If you can you really should try a custom made string.

I stock Taylor Maid strings at the shop.  Very good price for the quality in the package!
I've used Zebra/Vapor.....both are outstanding strings/cables!

Bowtech actually makes their own strings at the factory using BCY452x, can't be anything wrong with those either.....

I just had my Mathews Black Max restrung with Zerbra string and cable, as I needed it now and did not need to wait 2 weeks for custom Winners Choice to be made and stretched for me and it was only $80.00 installed.  After picking up my bow, I went into the indoor range and worked for what seemed like 2 or more hours shooting 100 arrows down range to get adjustment etc.  The new G5 peep finally quit twisting and stayed in place.

The one thing I noticed right off the bat was that the bow seemed to be quieter and faster than before.

Right now I could not be happier with my Black Max.

I've been using Prostrings now for several years, and they have worked great for me. The owner, Shel, is a pleasure to work with, and his strings are top notch. No stretch whatsoever, great prices.  www.prostring.com/
