A man can't have too many 7-08s.   ;D
What load did you use?

I didn't have everything I need to reload in time for deer season
so I went all out and got Remington Core Locts 140g.

Excellent choice. I do reload but 140gr Core Lokts are my go to bullet for WTs.  I favor H4895 also but the 7-08 kinda likes a pretty good spread of powder.  It ain't hard to come up with a good load.
I've used Sierra match bullets to win several factory matches with my 7-08 Classic so it's not gonna be hard to get accuracy out of your rifle.  ;D

I load 140 gr Core-Lokts for my 7-08. I use 46gr of H4350.

beemanbeme , I  really don't know as I don't have a chrony. I would guess around 2700fps.  The only rifle I load to max is my .243 and the reason for that is it seems my .243 gets the best accuracy at or near max loads.
